Jane Austen Rules!

 There are without a doubt countless blogs, livejournals and websites dedicated to

               Jane Austen, her works, the movies based on her works and those pesky sequels that are now being published in abundance and that would make the lady in question rolling with laughter, good manners notwithstanding.

Some of the most comprehensive, entertaining and must-visit places will be listed here in due course, but the aim of this particular livejournal community lies not only in introducing the author and her wonderful novels but in establishing the first ever Jane Austen Society in Ukraine and learning as much as possible about the Regency world while having fun recreating it.

Perhaps, it is an ambitious project and it will take time and effort of everybody involved (and hopefully there are people who would love to undertake such an adventure) but we strongly believe that it has a potential to become a great place for Jane Austen/Regency fans and a huge part of our lives.

Jane Austen Society in Ukraine invites people who would like to become a part of a community that will read and discuss Jane Austen’s works and that will hold a series of workshops dedicated to crafts and entertainment of the Regency period such as making your own Regency costume, learning Regency card games and dances, having picnics and ball and much much more.
